Scotland – NEW Images from Daragh
Hope everyone is doing well out there. The summer is very much here and shooting takes somewhat of a back seat as we are all enjoying time with our loved ones here at ExploreLioght HQ. The sunrises are early and the midges make shooting by lakes and in the mountains a quite unpleasant experience over the summer in Ireland. Despite the allure of the pounding sunshine, ice cold beers and Superquinn sausages we still need our fix, so we recently managed two epic trips to Provence and Midnight Sun in Iceland before settling into the BBQs and beers. We’ve also been busy with some editing with lots of new pictures to release over the summer.
That’s the focus of this week’s blog. Daragh, our resident Scotland expert, has pulled some real stunners from his recent trips to the Isle of Skye this year. What a concentration of great locations and unpredictable weather. It’s the latter that can really make it. Raining one minute, pouring down sunshine the next. It’s that savage changeability that makes for some really great light and it truly forms the perfect foil for the rugged landscape.
Hope you enjoy the new images below plus some old favourites. We are nearly fully booked out for Scotland trips in 2022 with only 1 place available for Isle of Lewis and Harris workshop in October this year. Scotland workshops 2023 below

Bit of a hike to catch this view but well worth the effort and the sprinkle of snow was a great bonus.
This sums things up so well in Scotland. Epic mood with light trying to break through on the horizon.
Every trip to Scotland needs a good castle ? Hard to argue with the stunning light here too ..
A new composition from Isle of Skye. Flanagan’s tree I believe so-called after eagle-eyed Mike spotted this amazing scene.
The road less traveled again and a unique take on this iconic Skye location.
