Montenegro – Undiscovered Gem

It’s been the usual busy here at ExploreLight HQ. These past few weeks we’ve been crazy busy launching the IrishLight Festival after a 2-year hiatus. Amazing to have Nikon, Conns and 360 DPI on board and fantastic to welcome Shimoda Design and Kase Filters this year.

Back on point for a second. With all things in place with IrishLight I’ve had some time to edit some pictures and I’m delighted to share some of the new work from Montenegro below. What a place to photograph. Stunning mountains, forests, mountain huts, and great reflections. Not a photographer in sight either which makes it even more special. Hope you enjoy the images below and if you fancy joining us in Montenegro this coming Autumn click here.

The best way to follow the journey is on Facebook or Instagram.

Best wishes and hope you enjoy the new images .. Peter

Rolling hills at 2000 meters. Some of these villages in Montenegro feel like they are from a different time. Some great light and scattered Autumn colour were a real bonus.

When the light and the mist combine. Montenegro has given us so many perfect misty mornings. We just can’t get enough. A telephoto lens is essential for this sort of thing.

The trees so often emerge from the mist in Montenegro. It’s hard to describe the ethereal beauty at dawn but hopefully this goes a little way to capturing the atmosphere..

A wee tipple of light catches the bank of an epic lake in Montenegro. What a perfect place to capture great reflections and the autumnal colour was spot on.
